Your intentions are how you want to show up in the world with purpose and meaning. Setting intentions also invites you to focus on the positive and what is possible for this school year, even in the midst of uncertainty and a changing educational landscape.
Intentions can be set for the short term (daily/weekly) and long term (monthly/year). To help you think through your intentions, we’ve come up with a Setting Intentions journal prompt guide.
SETTING INTENTIONS TIP: We encourage you to get out of your head and into your body before you read the questions and go through the process of writing down your thoughts.
Getting centred: 1) sit in a comfortable position, 2) close your eyes, and 3) focus on your breath. As you take deep inhales and exhales, imagine any stress or negative emotions leaving your body. Welcome in calm and peace. This will help you be present for the exercise and better determine how you want to feel this year.
