Fam Jam Music & Movement Time

Join Dr. Traci Scheepstra and Rachel Belliveau for a family music and movement class.

About this experience

Imagine starting your Saturday morning singing and dancing as a family! This forty-five minute music and movement class will include knee bouncers, songs and rhymes, finger plays, circle dances, and so much more! There will be live and recorded music to delight young minds and bodies. We will also invite you to bring a few items found in your home to make the experience as interactive as possible for your little ones. We guarantee laughter and fun for everyone!

Dr. Traci L. Scheepstra and Rachel Belliveau (Co-Founders of Embodied Learnings) are a mother and daughter duo who are passionate advocates of arts education. Traci owned and operated a creative arts centre for fourteen years in Pickering, Ontario where she taught music and movement classes to thousands of children. Classes were offered at her centre and in schools across Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area. She is currently a Limited Duties Associate Professor at Western University in the Teacher Education Program. Rachel grew up in her mother’s creative arts centre, while also attending dance classes and private music lessons. She spent her secondary years at a performing arts high school as a music major and excelled in vocal performance at the University of Guelph. Rachel continues to sing, and write and record her own music. She is also a Financial Advisor with Scotiabank.
