Embodied Learnings welcomes individuals from across Canada and around the world who are interested in working in the not-for-profit sector, particularly for the purpose of advancing education regarding the body, dance education and movement integration, mental health and well-being, and thriving school spaces. Our internships provide an excellent opportunity to build on prior school and professional experiences, while gaining knowledge and developing new skills in a defined area of interest within our organization.
We offer unpaid internships to teacher candidates in education programs, students in diploma-based college programs, undergraduate and graduate students in diverse university fields of study, as well as recent college or university graduates. Independent studies also fall under internships.
Internships can be short-term or long-term depending on the requirements of the program or degree the student is in. Recent graduates inquiring about internship opportunities may propose the length of time they would like to work with us.
Highlights of doing an internship with us:
- All internships are tailored to meet the needs of the individual and the requirements of their school program.
- We value individual strengths, ideas, and creativity. We provide opportunities that utilize what each person brings to our organization.
- Although most of our interns work remotely, they never work alone. We communicate on a regular basis by email, phone, and/or zoom.
- Interns are fully mentored throughout the entire internship experience.
