This is a quick meditative exercise that gets students out of their heads and into their bodies by focusing on their stability and balance. Students begin by standing with their feet placed firmly on the ground, hip width apart. They can then play by shifting their weight to the left and right, forwards and backwards, and even in a full circle, without losing their balance. Students will also feel the muscles in their toes, feet, ankles, calves, shins and knees activate while they do this exercise. It can be done with eyes open or (for more of a challenge) eyes closed! Let us know if you try it with your students!
