A NEW Approach to Classroom Guidelines
Creating classroom guidelines with your students, particularly at the start of the school year, is an important step towards building community and establishing belonging. In this video you will learn a new approach to creating guidelines where students are asked to consider what it looks like, sounds like, and feels like to be in a positive, welcoming and inclusive classroom. This process includes inviting students to spend a few days observing interactions between individuals on the playground and in the classroom. It’s a new twist on a timeless teaching strategy.
